Responsibilities:
 

• Managing team in a matrixed environment.
• Complete ownership of support process with proper reporting & review mechanisms in place
• Liaison with senior management & stakeholders ensuring support process deliverables are in line with business strategy/organization vision & goals
• Mentoring team for better collaboration with partners in Tech/Business initiatives
• Defining Business KPIs, getting them agreed with Tech/Business partners and ensuring adherence to them
• Developing strategies to prioritize and remediate risk & issues that align with business needs and/or regulatory compliance requirements
• For the governed support process, apply and perform Problem Management, Service Management, Escalation Management, Stakeholder Management and look after Continuous Improvement in process.
• Take ownership and drive Knowledge Management activities.
• Ensuring that defined business continuity procedures (BCP) for work are tested and operationalized.
• Lead and manage related Audits and Control processes.

 
Overall Experience & Qualifications:

• 17+ Years of Data Management experience in Banking and Financial Services
• Data Governance & Data Management expertise is mandatory
• Functional Knowledge in any of Risk/Finance/Regulatory Compliance preferred
• Working knowledge of Data Warehousing and BI preferred
• Managing a team of 7 to 15 members, for execution of a support process
• High awareness and application of principles and guidelines of Problem Management, Service Management, People Management, Escalation Management, Stakeholder Management, and Knowledge Management.
• Educational Qualification: BE/B-Tech/ME/M-Tech/MBA/MCA/Other Post Graduate Programs

Functional Experience:  

• Data Governance & Data Management expertise is mandatory
• One or more of the following areas – Consumer Banking / Wholesale Banking / Finance / Risk / Regulatory Compliance / Cards and Deposits/ Securities and Derivatives.

Technical Experience:   

• Knowledge around entire spectrum of Data Management and Data Governance, with expertise around a few sub-areas like Data Quality, MDM and RDM etc
• Knowledge in ETL, BI and Big Data is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Agile Development Model knowledge is an advantage.

Leadership/People Experience & Others: 

• People Leadership: Should have managed teams of 15+ employees
• Conversant with People and Stakeholder Management practices
• Good Communication & Presentation Skills
• Ability to network and drive collaboration
