We are hiring a Director – Data for a global powerhouse expanding its GCC in Hyderabad. This is a high-impact leadership role—not your traditional line manager—but a strategic influencer responsible for shaping the company’s data vision, building top-tier teams across Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science, and driving innovation, culture, and performance.

You will play a key role in scaling the GCC, fostering a thriving data community, and collaborating with global leaders to standardize practices, unlock business value, and future-proof the enterprise with strong data leadership.

What You’ll Lead

• Define and execute a future-ready data strategy aligned with business goals.
• Scale the Hyderabad Global Capability Center into a world-class data hub.
• Build, influence, and mentor high-performing teams across data engineering, analytics, and data science.
• Drive adoption of modern platforms like AWS, Databricks, and scalable cloud solutions.
• Champion data governance, ethical AI/ML, and standardization of tools and practices.
• Create strong career pathways and a culture of innovation, collaboration, and inclusion.
• Work cross-functionally with global stakeholders to drive transformation across the group.

What You Bring

• 15+ years of experience in data leadership roles, including strategy and team building.
• Proven success in scaling GCC/offshore data functions in a global, matrixed environment.
• Ability to drive outcomes through influence, vision, and community leadership, not just org charts.
• Strong understanding of modern data architectures, tools, and governance (AWS, Databricks preferred).
• Track record of building high-trust relationships with C-suite and business leaders.
• Passion for diversity, inclusion, and enabling continuous learning within teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in building data teams within GCCs or global delivery centers.
• Familiarity with data compliance, risk, and regulatory best practices.
• Exposure to hybrid global models and talent/workforce planning.
