Job Description

About this role:

 

  • This role will be responsible to manage day-to-day operations, ensure governance including MBRs, QBRs etc. Will be responsible to deliver on all agreed SLAs and key metrics and will be the SPOC for the functional owner from the finance COE. Will be responsible to drive automation and be able to identify other transformational ideas to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Data Quality Operations – Lead a team of analysts responsible for monitoring data quality issues based on ALM business rules.

  • Reconciliation of data between various integration points in ALM’s operational data flow

  • Operational activities supporting loading of templates/data from QRM analytical output results into Essbase

  • Operational activities supporting loading of templates/data from other tools (FAST, CALM) into QRM

  • Issue research, component analysis, resolution, and articulation of results

  • Understanding and creating solutions that automate manual processes along the end-to-end data flow including data sourcing, staging, transformation, analytics, data quality tools, metadata implementations, etc.

  • Build stronger governance by establishing appropriate controls around access, data validation and reconciliation, end-user computing, documentation (data dictionary, lineage, metadata and SLA (Service Level Agreements) with data providers).

  • Building change management routines to keep the tools operational and functioning per SLA and keep documentation up-to-date for Audit and Regulatory review.

  • Manage to defined operational metrics

  • Analyze company financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis with strong application of Excel

  • Provide monthly and quarterly enterprise financial reporting for executive management, including insights on emerging company and/or industry trends

  • Provide support for various stress forecasts, including CCAR / DFAST, recovery, and resolution, and various schedules for regulatory reporting.

  • Provide financial strategy insights and analysis including profitability analysis and other valuation exercises

  • Provide support in preparation of analysis and content as required for executive management presentations, including Board of Directors meetings, Investor Relations road shows

  • Ensure active compliance with risk management and enterprise control requirements while continue to improve the process

  • Build effective relationships with partners in support of all deliverables

  • Manage a team of analysts and associates

  • Manage and develop a team responsible for complex analytics on components of companywide key treasury finance metrics

  • Ensure data quality and establish controlled processes

  • Lead implementation of complex projects and initiatives impacting one or more lines of business

  • Understand and ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives

  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers

  • Lead team to achieve objectives

  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Treasury

  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

 

 

Required Qualifications, International:

  • 12-15 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Operational and production processes related to finance, accounting, analytics and reporting

  • 8+ years of operational experience in a GIC or a third-party services organization and in managing FP&A processes involving large multifunctional teams, (preferably BFSI Finance processes)

  • Undergraduate degree in Technology, MIS, Business or related field or equivalent experience

  • Expertise in financial and accounting concepts with strong understanding of banking financial statements

  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization

  • Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to manage processes, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize effectively   

  • Demonstrated expertise in Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Essbase and/or Dodeca will be an advantage

 

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge of QRM, ALM models, ALM Model and Risks, policies and guidelines and risk data aggregation methodologies for reporting and decision support.

  • Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge

  • Prior exposure to reconciliation processes and correction mechanisms.

  • Knowledge of data integrity management efforts in Corporate Finance/Treasury or other lines of businesses.

  • Experience with enterprise initiatives supporting regulatory mandates

  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders

  • Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to manage processes, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize effectively
