About BU

Enterprise FP&A (part of Corporate Finance) is responsible for enterprise-level forecasting, financial performance analysis and reporting, and supports external reporting, stress testing and resolution & recovery planning, as well as the enterprise expense management program.  The ideal candidate will have experience providing finance support to senior executives and a proven ability to thrive in cross functional teams.  This position will work closely with partners in Controllers, Corporate Treasury, Corporate Strategy, Investor Relations, Lines of Business, and the Chief Administration Office (CAO).

The position provides an excellent opportunity to understand our Client’s business performance and drivers.  Attention to detail, understanding of financial statements, strong problem-solving and analytic skills, an enterprise mindset, and aptitude for teamwork will be determining factors in selection.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 6-7 analysts and associates
  • Analyze company financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis 
  • Provide monthly and quarterly enterprise financial reporting for executive management, including insights on emerging company and/or industry trends
  • Assist in developing strategic insights and analysis, including peer benchmarking, profitability analysis, goodwill impairment and other valuation exercises
  • Provide support for regulatory processes and reporting, including stress forecasts (CCAR / DFAST), recovery and resolution planning; coordinate development and execution of legal entity forecasting capabilities to support financial crisis management
  • Support ad hoc analysis and respond to requests as needed for executive management, Board of Directors meetings, Operating Committee meetings, and Investor Relations road shows
  • Ensure active compliance with risk management and enterprise control requirements 
  • Play a leading role in advancing broader Finance transformation objectives, including enhancing and improving processes and identifying efficiency opportunities across the enterprise

 

  Required Qualifications and Experience 

  • 12-15 years of experience in one or a combination of the following:  finance, analytics, strategic planning, consulting
  • Master's degree preferred, CFA / CA an advantage
  • Expertise in finance and accounting concepts, understanding of bank financial statements a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with executive-level leaders
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to manage processes, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize effectively    
  • Demonstrated expertise in Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with Oracle / Hyperion Essbase, Power BI, or Alteryx is a plus
